I know there are real problems that have caused many homeowners go through or are into a bad situation when it comes to their home.  There are many benefits of owning your home and I strongly feel that it is a good thing.  Not all homeowners that are being foreclosed on, bad people.  I also don't feel that there are a lot of homeowners out there that tried to beat the system.  For the most part, I feel it just boils down to bad things happen to good people. 

If you are going through a potential foreclosure or you are seeing that it is coming becuase of your finances, there are other ways of handling the situation than just sitting there and let the bank have it back through foreclosure.  FannieMae has created a site that I think you should look into.  It is called www.KnowYourOptions.com.  I am not going through a foreclosure but it appears this site gives you many options instead of being foreclosed on.
